JARED INGLES wins WSOP Harrah’s Cherokee Main Event Day 3 of the Cherokee Main Event comes to a close after nine hours of play. The day started with 17 players and ended with a winner.
The winner was Jared Ingles , who took home the $300,736 grand prize and his first WSOP World Series of Poker gold ring after beating 1,213 events to generate a $1,837,695 prize pool. Jared Ingles , from the small town of Prospect, Louisiana, had amassed more than $1 million in career earnings prior to this tournament, including nearly $600,000 in WSOP prize money. The win was the biggest score of his career, as his previous biggest career cash was $138,285 for a 56th-place 2010 WSOP Main Event ..
A word with the winner
” I’m 34 now, so I’ve been honing in half my life, ” Jared Ingles said after the win, recalling his childhood dedication to poker. Close one. “

Ingles showed confidence when discussing how the Cherokee Main Event was going and when he knew he had a good chance of winning. “I knew I was the favorite today, Game 7 of 17. I knew I had a good winning percentage position right from the start, there was no real moment.”
Jared Ingles said his two most memorable hands from this victory were actually two folds. In another hand, I folded ace-queen to a 17BB all-in, which was a real fold, but I was actually the only player who folded. That day, he believed those crucial folds put him in a good position to win the ring.

Day 3 started with 17 players, and because the game started out cautiously, it would take a full level to lose the first player of the day. The final knockout stage began to progress steadily until the final table.
Famous North Carolina player Marshall White was the first to exit the final table after being eliminated in ninth place.
Rohit Kwatra then went out in 8th place, finishing in the exact same spot as the Cherokee Main Event in December with a stunning finish.
Four-time Tour winner John Gallaher pulled out in No. 7 minutes later as he added another nice Cherokee score to his resume.
No. 6 Adam Ney failed to finish 2nd while trying to tie or pass his February Cherokee Main Event, but he was only seven weeks apart.
Fikret Kovac came into his third Cherokee Main Event final table, finishing in 5th place, the same place he was in December 2019, with his first hand after the dinner break.
Max Le followed in 4th place as he had a career-high score by a wide margin, but he was beaten in a brutal game that turned out a flush full of river water. Ship destroyed.
The trio didn’t last long, with Massachusetts’ Robert Hover finishing third, the same finish he had in the WSOPC Turning Stone Main Event in March.
The heads-up match started with Changlong Zeng, who started the day as the chip leader, slightly ahead of Jared Ingles (54% of the chips), who was close to the title when he had pocket three pair aces – Jared Ingles King, but Jared Ingles would find a king on the river to take the chip lead and then close out a few hands later.
